Let me take you on a journey back to when I first emerged from my chrysalis of Domesticity and started to grow my wings as a ‘Computer Geek Butterfly’.

Junix in the MEN OF Jekyll and Hyde

Business World Weekender

What started it all? Well, it is this guys fault – Junix Inocian. He is a friend of ours who is presently based in London (Junix is a Filipino international stage, television and movie actor who starred in various plays such as Miss Saigon, Fiddler on the Roof, and the movie version of the Swedish crime novel Tatuerad Torso – wikipedia). I came across his personal website around 2004. One of the cute things Junix did on his personal website was a two frame gif animation of him smiling. How did he do that? This penchant for being overly curious and wanting to figure out how things work started me on this fun adventure called Web Design/Development.

I immediately enrolled myself in a summer course at Silliman University which taught me the basics of html. Little did I know that the www of coding has a a very short attention span. How tiny my knowledge was then and how tinier it is still now as the world of the language of website development is ever changing and evolving. It is definitely not a boring place to be in.

Two of the special numbers on our Teachers Night

This is the first major website I developed, SUHS 77 Reunion. I was made coordinator for our 30th high school reunion and I thought what better way to communicate and get things organized than through a website. This was central communications headquarters for all the high school batchmates. The html foundation I got in my class was by this time definitely inadequate. While making this website I came across css…what is css?! I really have to thank Google who is now one of my best friends. SHE/He apparently knew all the answers to any questions I had.

Please take a look at our High School Website. It has a few broken links and is in need of a major executive checkup. I hope to attend to it soon or it might otherwise disappear into a website cemetery of long ignored and neglected urls. But I still love the homepage design that I did. Hope you enjoy going through our high school reunion silliness. :)
